Have been busy with few installations in the last 3 weeks of Dec and here are some of them. Vision Zenith - a high security company

Next is Alcon a medical equipment and supplies company in Sin Ming. They have decided to replace the card system with Hense Fingerprint System for both the main office entrance and the store room, which needs to track the staff access due to the high value equipments.

Decillion, a software company under NEC group in Shenton Way. Yes customers are now more comfortable to use fingerprint access and certainly this trend will continue to 2010. Happy New Year...

Schools Schools - Dimensions at Kovan

Hi Readers, apologized for the missing update last week, it is because I was swamped with the various fingerprint tenders in GEBIZ for schools. Over the past 2 weeks, I have seen about 8 fingerprint related tenders like:
Cresent Girls
Jurong Secondary
Victoria Junior College
Bukit View
Fernvale Primary
ITE-West
Tanjong Katong Secondary

Well, we tender either through Hense or with our partners for some of them. Fingers crossed..... waiting for the good news....... then the crazy rush to do the installation before Jan 4 when schools start.

Private institution Dimension at Kovan MRT

Together with our partner Zringgo, we installed 4 system of fingerprint Time Attendance units in Dimension so as the students attendance is automated and also a huge saving for them by dropping the card system. Dimension has over 2,000 students so using cards will be very costly and also have " buddy punching" problem, but with fingerprint solution provide a cost effective and reliable solution.

One interesting course they offer is Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts - the path to Famous Chef !!!!!!!!!! Guess they must offer good quality food on campus with such courses for the food industry.

Nothing about Fingerprint - Something logical

This week's post is nothing about fingerprint but an interesting mathematical logic that spells out what are the value of hardwork, attitude, BS and asskissing! read on. Credit for this post goes to Terence who sent me this email this week.

logic. It also made me Laugh Out Loud.

This is a strictly mathematical viewpoint... it goes like this:

Fingerprint Time Attendance for Childcare Centers and Kindergartens

Couple of new projects in development which are for childcare centers and kindergartens. By adapting to fingerprint technology for kids time attendance, the centers are now able to automate the time attendance for MCYS and MOE reporting and also accurately charge parents for any additional overtime.

Attached photo shows that our fingerprint reader is able to work with kids' fingers from as young as 1 year old. Using the thumb will be able to provide enough fingerprint characteristics or Minutia to differentiate uniquely.

Pokka Singapore - another installation reference

One of our fingerprint readers installation this week for time attendance and access control is at Pokka Singapore, yes, yes the drinks company that bring us famous Green Tea and Ice Lemon Tea.

The FS20 fingerprint readers are used for management offices access and time attendance for their staff. Due to the need to track IN an OUT times, the main door has two readers one for entry and the out for exit. Now without your fingers you cannot go in Pokka office and get out when the day's work is done.

Guess who is with Pokka now.... Remember Irin Gan from Mediacorp, well she is now with the marketing group. This lady still have the looks and the elegance, let's support and drink more Pokka drinks...........

Fingerprint Controlled Cabinets

Some of us have many keys to carry, house keys, office keys, cabinets keys but things will change soon because we can implement fingerprint controlled cabinets now. An example is the demo unit shown here, a person just need to register which cabinet belongs to him then he can open the door simply by putting his finger on the fingerprint reader.

So, your fingers are now very important because they have become the keys to everything now.

Challenger POS with Fingerprint, Fingerprint Time Attendance

This week I am going to blog about a project that we worked with Challenger Store on the integration of fingerprint technology to their POS (Point Of Sales), staff time attendance system and store room access. Challenger since 2007 has used the fingerprint for cashier logon on the POS and also supervisor over-ride on any error or correction on the POS transaction. The cashier and supervior must present their fingers on the scanner in order to logon and override transaction replacing the use of user ID and passwords. This remove the possibility of fraud in approving illegal transactions.

With the use of internet based Time Attendance systems for all Challenger's outlet, they are now able to get live reports on Staff attendance realtime. The HQ in Funan will be able to know which staff and function at each outlet is absent at 11am each day and thus able to re-deploy staff from other outlets.

Mustafa Singapore Membership w fingerprint

Guess what........even our favourite 24 hours Department Store Mustafa Centre is using fingerprint technology!!! They have just started their Mustafa Membership Card and not only they take your photo, they take your fingerprint record - only the template is kept not the image.

This is what you/they do:

1. Fill in a simple form, no address just name and email .........mmmmm I think

2. Staff will enter the particulars into the database along with a snapshot of you

3. Place finger on the fingerprint scanner (by the way FS80 from Hense Technology) 3times with both index fingers

4. Verify the finger with the database and wah lah .... your Mustafa card is done.

5. Well, the membership program is to start from Nov/Dec, so now I can shop shop shop with my finger at Mustafa.

6. Go get your fingerprint Mustafa Membership card if you have not done so. Now you truly can shop.......... with your fingers..................
