This week I am going to blog about a project that we worked with Challenger Store on the integration of fingerprint technology to their POS (Point Of Sales), staff time attendance system and store room access. Challenger since 2007 has used the fingerprint for cashier logon on the POS and also supervisor over-ride on any error or correction on the POS transaction. The cashier and supervior must present their fingers on the scanner in order to logon and override transaction replacing the use of user ID and passwords. This remove the possibility of fraud in approving illegal transactions.
With the use of internet based Time Attendance systems for all Challenger's outlet, they are now able to get live reports on Staff attendance realtime. The HQ in Funan will be able to know which staff and function at each outlet is absent at 11am each day and thus able to re-deploy staff from other outlets.
